I had been eagerly awaiting the arrival of 6 backdrops yesterday. Every day there was me checking the app to see if the shipment was near, and yesterday they finally arrived! Actually, the wait was not that long as I ordered them the end of October but I was just so excited to put these to work.

As I was looking at each one my little love was playing beside me. When he saw the camping backdrop he got so excited and told me he liked it. He was even happier when I told him this morning we could have some s’mores while pretending to camp. He said “that makes me happy mommy”. Oh my heart.

This backdrop could be used for sitter sessions, newborns or cake smashes. I also have a green floordorop coming which will match it nicely. I love the fun of putting together different sets.

This all got me thinking, why limit photo shoots like this to first birthdays and cake? Take any food and any occasion or theme and have some fun. You could use popsicles, cupcakes, pudding, fruit, pizza, spaghetti, the sky is the limit.

As a mom, one of the things I enjoy best is seeing my son enjoy food. It’s messy but captures the part of childhood that is passionate and disorganized. Yesterday he licked the last drops of spaghetti right from the table. If only he enjoyed vegetables and chicken as much!
