Here are answers to some frequently asked questions:

GENERAL:

Are you open on the weekends?
I’m open Monday to Friday, with newborn sessions at 10am and all other sessions at 1pm. From time to time, I also open extra dates when I offer mini sessions throughout the year.

Where are you located?
My studio is in Somerset in SW Calgary, about five minutes off Macleod Trail. It’s easy to find and has plenty of parking.

Do you photograph birthday parties?
At this time I don’t photograph events such as birthday parties or baptisms. I focus on studio sessions and occasionally outdoor family photos.

How can I book a session?
You can book directly through my website. It’s simple and you’ll be able to see all available dates and times.

How can I pay for my session?
When you book online, you’ll fill out a short intake form and pay a $50 deposit. The remaining balance is due on the day of your session.

What if I need to reschedule?
Life happens, and I completely understand. If you’re feeling unwell or something unexpected comes up, just reach out and we’ll find a new date. Deposits are non-refundable, and if you’re unable to rebook within a few weeks, a new deposit may be required.

When will I receive my photos?
My turnaround time is typically 1–2 weeks, and often sooner depending on how busy the season is. Turn around time September-January may lean closer to 2 weeks.

Do you offer family photography?
I specialize in baby photography, but I do offer family sessions occasionally when I host mini sessions throughout the year.

Do prices include prints?
My pricing includes edited digital images. If you’d like printed products, you’re welcome to order them through your gallery afterwards. I use Pic-Time and they offer all kinds of products and prints. If you order through me I can ensure the colour matches and that the quality is fantastic.

May I have all the raw photos?
I deliver fully edited images only. My goal is to provide you with polished, beautiful photographs you’ll love.

CAKE SMASHES

Do cake smashes include family photos?
Cake smashes don’t include full family photos, but if you’d like a quick photo with your little one at the start, I’m happy to do that. Most one-year-olds have short attention spans, so we keep the focus on them. Sessions typically last around an hour before little ones start to tire.

Can siblings attend the cake smash?
Siblings are welcome, but young children often get restless during the session, which can be stressful for parents. If possible, it works best when one parent brings the birthday child alone. If you’d like family photos, we can book those for a separate day.

Can we do outfit changes during a cake smash?
Yes! We usually use one outfit for the sitter portion and another for the cake smash. You can browse the studio wardrobe when you arrive and choose your favourites.

Do you have outfits?
Yes, I have a small wardrobe for newborns and for babies 12–18 months. For ages 2 and up, you’ll need to bring your own outfits.

NEWBORNS

Do newborn photos include family and sibling photos?
I offer several packages so you can choose what fits your family best. Sessions that include parents and siblings usually take about three hours. We start with family photos, and then I move on to baby-only images. Since it’s a long session and seating is limited, I recommend having another family member take siblings home once their part is done.

Can you guarantee certain baby poses?
Sessions are fully baby-led, and I never force babies into any pose. I will gently guide them into cozy, natural positions they’re comfortable with, but I can’t guarantee specific poses.

Do you use an assistant?
I don’t use an assistant at this time, but I work carefully and safely with every baby.
