Here are answers to some frequently asked questions:
GENERAL:
Are you open on the weekends? I am not open on the weekends at this time. I am open Monday to Friday and do newborn sessions at 10am and cake smashes at 1pm. I am only open Saturday mornings in September/October when I offer outdoor fall minis for families.
Where are you located? My studio is located in Somerset in the SW quadrant of Calgary Alberta. Is is about 5 minutes off Macleod trail.
Do you photograph birthday parties? At this time I do not photograph events such as birthday parties or baptisms, I only photograph in my studio and for fall minis outdoors.
How can I book a session? You can book right here! This allows you to see the available slots and book yours easily.
How can I pay for my session? You would first begin by sending your $50 deposit upon booking to alexis.littleloves@gmail.com. The day of the shoot the balance is due by cash or e-transfer.
What if I need to reschedule? The more notice you provide the better but I understand illness happens last minute and if it does please contact me and we will reschedule your session no problem. The deposit is non-refundable and if you cannot rebook your session within a reasonable amount of time (a few weeks) you may need to send another deposit.
When will I get my photos? My turn around time is pretty quick and I usually have photos completed in one week, sometimes even sooner depending on how busy I am.
Do you do family photography? I specialize in baby photography therefore family photography isn’t something I offer regularly. I only do family photos in the fall when I do my outdoor fall minis. I am with my family evenings and weekends and therefore not available for family photos at this time in my life but maybe when my son is older!
Are prices negotiable? I charge what I need to keep my business running and therefore prices are not negotiable however they are affordable when compared to other photographers in the area.
Do prices include prints? I am an all inclusive digital photographer so the prices include digital photos only. However you may order prints through my site afterwards if you like!
CAKE SMASHES:
Do cake smashes include family photos? Cake smashes do not include family photos however if you and your spouse want to hop in at the beginning for a quick family photo that is ok! One year old babies have limited patience for photos so I move as fast as possible during them before they get cranky and need a nap. The average cake smash takes 1 hour at it is usually around this point the baby is done with the shoot.
Can siblings attend the cake smash? Parents who have brought siblings younger than 5 years old to the cake smash have told me the experience was very stressful. I do not recommend bringing young siblings to the shoot unless there is another adult who can take them out of the studio after a quick family photo is done.
Can we do outfit changes during a cake smash? Yes we usually use one outfit for the sitter session and a second outfit for the cake smash.
Do you have outfits? I do have outfits for newborns and cake smashes so my wardrobe is for newborns and 12-18 months. I don’t have outfits for ages 2 and up.
Can parents participate in the cake smash? Yes you may! Please note however my studio is only open Monday to Friday.
NEWBORNS:
Do newborn photos include family and sibling photos? Yes they do! Newborn photos take around 3 hours and we begin with family photos then move on to the baby photos. I do recommend other family take any siblings out of the studio after the family photos are done since it is a very long session and my studio does not have much seating.
Do you photograph babies in the froggy pose? I use basic and natural positions for babies mostly on their back or on tummy. I don’t do the froggy pose as is actually a few different photos photoshopped together.
Do you use an assistant? I don’t have an assistant at this time.
