Babies and bubbles

The best compliment as a Photographer is when people come back for more photos. When Marie’s mom asked me to do photo’s for her second birthday I was so happy as this will be my fourth photo shoot for her family. Since Photography is my passion, knowing my customers appreciate me and my work makes me happier than words can say. And over time I get to know people and the photo shoots are more relaxed then when people come for their first shoot and don’t know what to expect. This family is lovely so I am honoured whenever they ask me to take photos for them!

We chose Princes Island Park for these photos. It was my recommendation due to a few garden spaces and lots of variety. I brought a little stool, blanket, and some fun sunglasses. Marie’s mom brought her little stroller and doll as well as a bubble gun and I am so glad she did because they worked perfectly. I always welcome whatever people want to incorporate into the shoot as it makes it more candid and puts kids at ease.

I was warned Marie doesn’t like having her photo taken so I had to work fast. That is the case for any photo shoot with children. They usually don’t enjoy sitting still and smiling for the camera but if you can engage them you win! In the end she did great and seemed to have a lot of fun too running around, pushing her doll in the stroller, chasing bubbles and spending time with her mom.
