I have been fine tuning the cake smash packages for some time. As time goes on and I do more and more cake smashes (over 100 so far!) I can see trends and patterns of what people want, what works and what does not work.

I used to offer a mini cake smash sessions however not one person ever opted for that! At the same time people ask for unique things such as specific props, backdrops or decorative cakes. As a result I scraped the mini sessions and decided to offer a new package: stylized cake smashes! This was the first one I photographed using a balloon garland and it turned out really beautifully!

After getting a sense what colours were desired for the shoot, I hired Up Balloons to make a balloon arch for the session. Carolina did not disappoint! She made a gorgeous arch, delivered it right to the studio and helped set it up by adding twinkle lights. Once the family arrived they were also very happy with the beautiful balloon display!

This adorable little birthday girl is so cute sitting in front of the balloons. You can’t even tell from these photos she was a bit fussy during the session and was not crazy about the cake lol. I always say babies are wild cards because as well as you know your baby, a photo shoot and everything involved is so new and it is hard to predict how it will go. It is also normal for babies to be a mix of everything during that hour. Either way I will get beautiful photos for you to last a lifetime!
