So cute! 4-month month old baby session in the studio

It has been a while since I did an indoor photo shoot, in fact since the pandemic was declared I have only done two. My preference since May has been to have the photo sessions outdoors in fresh air to keep everyone comfortable and safe.

Now the weather is getting colder and it is harder to do shoots outdoors although not out of the question.

I also don’t normally do photos of babies between the newborn stage and 6 months old. Newborn babies are photographed between 5-14 days when they are sleepy and pliable.

Babies over 6 months of age are easier to photograph as they may be able to sit on their own partly or with assistance and they are able to do tummy time for longer.

4 months is sort of an in-between time where baby is not a sleepy newborn but also cannot do much more than lie on their back.

This little love however was a pleasure to photograph and full of smiles for the camera! She can still sit with assistance of some well placed blankets or cushions.

I think photographing babies between 2-6 months is actually quite adorable I will encourage it going forward.
