Most people don’t think of the great outdoors when they consider newborn photos, but it can be a beautiful option. In Covid times is also lessens the risk that comes from being indoors together, even if everyone is wearing a mask.

It is true for newborn photos you want a warm setting, and when they are done indoors photographers will ensure the room is very warm. However, that doesn’t mean outdoor photos are out of the question. If you are open to something a bit different than the traditional naked or wrapped baby poses it can be safe and gorgeous. Baby must be dressed warm and obviously it helps if the weather outside is on the warmer side.

This beautiful family was open to doing their session outside. We chose sunset time, and Stanley Park to do the session. He wasn’t wanting to sleep, and coincidently once he did fall asleep it had officially got cold out so we ended the session shortly after.

These proud parents were so adorable, already talking to their little love, reassuring him and giving him positive support.
